Urology

Urology is a branch of medicine that deals with the male genital and urinary systems and the female urinary systems. People who have received an abnormal result of a general urine test should go to a urology consultation, as well as people who:
- problems with urination: frequent urination (pollakiuria), lack of urine (anuria),
- painful pressure on the bladder,
- pain in the lower abdomen or urinary-genital area,
- pain during urination, including burning of the urethra when urinating,
- erectile dysfunction and changes in the appearance of the genitals.
What conditions does a urologist treat*
The competence of a urologist includes the treatment of the following conditions:
- urinary tract inflammation,
- kidney stones,
- inflammation in the male and female genital organs,
- diseases of the male external genitalia, including phimosis ,
- bladder problems, for example: leakage of urine or problems with its excretion,
- erectile dysfunction,
- varicocele,
- benign prostatic hyperplasia,
- testicular, prostate, kidney and bladder cancer.
Uroflowmetry also allows for determining neurological disorders of the urinary system. Most importantly, this type of test can be performed quickly and painlessly while waiting for an appointment with our specialist.
