The course of the arm modeling procedure

The arm contouring procedure itself may look a bit different. During the consultation, the plastic surgeon will discuss the exact procedure with the patient 

In the case of a small amount of sagging skin, the doctor may only remove the excess skin. In the case of a small amount of excess fat tissue , liposuction can be performed without the need to remove the skin 

Depending on the scope and area of **the operation, if necessary, the procedures are combined. The doctor makes an incision on the inside of the arm so that it is as inconspicuous as possible 

In the next stage, the modeling and plastic surgery of the arm integuments is performed to obtain the desired effect. The wound is closed with layered sutures, and drains are placed in the bottom of the wounds to drain blood and tissue fluids.

Post-procedure recommendations after arm plastic surgery

After the procedure, a pressure dressing is applied. It is possible that a hematoma, swelling and bruising of the operated area may occur. The patient reports at the agreed dates for dressings to be changed and stitches to be removed. Active life can be resumed after about 2-3 weeks, and sports after 4 weeks. For about 2 weeks after the procedure, it is advisable to limit physical activity (avoid sudden movements and high physical exertion). During the first period after the procedure, hot baths, saunas and solariums should be avoided.

Due to weight fluctuations and loss of skin elasticity, the appearance of our arms changes. They become saggy and unsightly, which takes away many people's self-confidence. This is especially problematic in the summer, when we decide to wear clothes that expose our arms. In the case of an aesthetic defect such as sagging arms, we recommend brachioplasty to our patients.
