Labiaplasty is a plastic surgery of the labia majora or minora. The procedure is performed due to deformation, hypertrophy, asymmetrical appearance, discomfort or even pain experienced by a woman

There are three types of labiaplasty procedures performed:

*Labiaplasty of the labia minora is performed to remove hypertrophy or asymmetry of the labia minora

*Reduction of the labia majora , performed due to lip hypertrophy, e.g. due to weight gain, as well as genetic conditions

*Plastic surgery of the labia majora , in this case we are dealing with atrophy, or atrophy. The cause of this condition is a large and sudden loss of body weight, loss of skin elasticity due to the aging process of the body

The course of the labiaplasty procedure

During the labiaplasty procedure, the shape of the labia is corrected, excess tissue is cut out, and the labia are reshaped so that they function properly and gain an aesthetic appearance. The plastic surgery is performed under general anesthesia, which makes the procedure painless and the stitches are dissolvable. Complete regeneration, which involves returning to sports and sexual activity, can be said to occur after six weeks.
